Complete tabletop packs, ready in minutes.
AI-powered tabletop assessment scenario generator for Level 1 and Level 2 Incident Command — 13 sections, grounded in NFCC National Operational Guidance, JESIP, and SFJ Awards criteria.
Thirteen sections. One coherent pack. Generated in one go.
Scenarios from NFCC guidance
Every scenario is built from the relevant NFCC NOG scenario type — outputs reflect current operational doctrine, not invented content.
Timed injects & triggers
Section C generates a timed sequence of injects and triggers aligned to the scenario narrative — ready to use in live tabletop delivery.
Role cards for all players
Section D produces role-specific briefing cards for IC, sector commanders, safety officer, and liaison roles.
Assessor & facilitator guides
Section E lists gold standard actions; Section F provides a full facilitator guide aligned to SFJ Awards criteria for L1 and L2 qualifications.
Common questions
What incident types can it generate?
Build-Aid covers all 27 NFCC NOG scenario types, including dwelling fires, commercial/industrial premises, tall buildings, RTCs, hazmat, water rescue, collapsed structures, and wildfire. Select the incident type and level (L1 or L2) before generating.
What are Sections A–M?
Each Build-Aid scenario pack contains 13 sections:
- A — Overview: incident overview, location, time, and initial conditions
- B — Learning Outcomes: key learning objectives linked to the assessment level
- C — Timeline & Injects: timed sequence of injects and triggers
- D — Role Cards: individual briefings for IC, sector commanders, safety officer, and liaison roles
- E — Gold Standard Actions: expected commander actions at each decision point
- F — Facilitator & Assessor Guide: running notes, debrief prompts, SFJ Awards-aligned criteria
- G — Quick Reference: condensed one-page crib sheet
- H — Artifacts: props, documents, and supporting materials
- I — Scene Images: AI-generated scene photographs
- J — Site Map: AI-generated overhead site layout
- K — Floor Plan: AI-generated building floor plan where applicable
- L — SSRI: Structural fire safety risk information
- M — VR Info: Reference information for VR training environments
Does it support both L1 and L2?
Yes. Select Level 1 or Level 2 before generating. The scenario complexity, command span, and assessment criteria are calibrated to the chosen level — L2 scenarios involve larger resource spans, multi-agency coordination, and more complex tactical decisions.
How is AI generation grounded in NOG?
When you select an incident type, the relevant NFCC NOG scenario chunks are scored for relevance and included in the prompt sent to Claude. This grounds the output in the same guidance a practitioner would reference — rather than generic AI content.
Can I use the output for formal SFJ Awards assessment?
Build-Aid is a scenario-generation aid, not a formally accredited tool. The generated content is a starting point — assessors should review and adapt it to their service's context. The assessor guide (Section F) and gold standard actions (Section E) reference SFJ Awards criteria but must be validated against current awarding body guidance.
