For IT & Procurement

Where is data stored?

User accounts, session records, and quiz libraries are stored on a UK-hosted server (AWS London region) in JSON files. No shared database is used.

Quiz questions are generated using the Anthropic API and Brave Search API. The incident topic is sent to these services — no personal or organisation data is transmitted. Neither service retains the content.

How is access controlled?

Multiplayer hosting requires a registered account. Every new account requires explicit admin approval before access is granted — there is no open self-registration. Solo practice is available without an account, subject to a daily usage limit.

What AI services does it use?

Questions are generated by Claude (Anthropic API). Incident topics are searched using Brave Search to ground questions in current, accurate information. Neither service retains submitted data or uses it for model training.

What are the infrastructure requirements?

Clients need only a modern browser. The backend requires Node.js, an Anthropic API key, and a Brave Search API key. It runs comfortably on a single lightweight server or VM.

Is it GDPR-compliant?

User data is stored on UK servers. Quiz generation sends only the incident topic to Anthropic and Brave Search — no personal or organisational data. Accounts require admin approval, giving your organisation full control over who has access.
